Krishna ~ Monday, 11 June 2018

Blue-skinned god sits
in deep contemplation
before the Aegean

Lingers for an eternity
like a goat on a cliff
pondering suicide

Understandably
not his own
but his offspring

Eternally damned
unlike Hades
the blue-skinned god weeps

Simply because he knows
and understands
every possible thing

Kissed by karma
he relents to accept
his role within the world

Indeed so many people
beseech him to intervene
in their daily affairs

Needless to say
he tires of humanity
the dinosaurs asked

Nothing of the god
self-sufficient to a fault
like marvelous reptiles

Endless quarrels
between humans
irks the blue-skinned god

Despite his time abroad
on vacation
so to speak

Granted humanity
asks too much of him
they give him a headache

Only he knows their days
are numbered and few
ten million years at most

Despite fair-warning
the god persists to treat
humans like patients

Savage rabid mongrels
are a joy to watch
in comparison

Insolent children
who deny he exists
he's okay with them

They don't require
attention or upkeep
but the older folks

Seek answers
to everything
he wishes they would die
